A Bit About Kimberly

Kimberly Ocampo is an inspiring individual who overcame significant challenges to pursue her dreams. In 2015, she was involved in a severe accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Despite this, she remained determined to follow her passion for dance.

Originally from New Jersey, Kimberly moved to Miami to pursue her dance career. She had planned to audition for the Miami Heat Dancers before her accident1After her injury, she worked hard on her rehabilitation and eventually became an honorary Miami Heat Dancer. Her story of resilience and determination has touched many hearts.

Kimberly is an ambassador for the Wings For Life World Run, a global event that raises funds for spinal cord injury research. Her dedication and positive outlook continue to inspire many. Recently, she performed at Cleveland’s renowned Severance Hall, home to the Cleveland Orchestra since 1931 and one of the world’s most beautiful concert venues. She received a standing ovation from an adoring audience of 2,000 attendees.

Beyond her talents in dance, Kimberly is also an accomplished singer and artist. She actively invests in her community as a motivational speaker through Bluebird Awards, where she discusses the importance of a positive mental attitude and how it impacts the various mental health issues affecting children and teenagers
